CoverForge Terms of Use
Effective: July 16, 2026
These Terms govern your use of CoverForge, an iOS service for creating AI-assisted book-cover artwork. By using CoverForge, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. The CoverForge service
CoverForge creates a cover from a title, author name, genre, style, aspect ratio, and creative brief. Results are AI-assisted creative drafts. You must be at least 13 and able to enter into these Terms under applicable law.
2. Purchase identity and security
No registration, name, email address, or Sign in with Apple step is required. StoreKit provides CoverForge with an Apple-signed, app-specific identifier. CoverForge converts it into a pseudonymous service identity for purchase delivery, balance recovery, security, and fraud prevention. You are responsible for protecting your device and Apple account and must not bypass credit, rate-limit, identity, or purchase controls.
3. Your inputs and acceptable use
You retain rights you already hold in lawful material you submit. You represent that you have the rights, permissions, and lawful basis needed to provide and use those inputs.
You may not request, create, publish, or use content that:
- Uses a real person's likeness or identity without rights or consent required by law, especially celebrities and public figures.
- Infringes copyrighted characters, recognizable franchises, trademarks, logos, trade dress, brand identities, publicity rights, or other third-party rights.
- Falsely suggests sponsorship, endorsement, authorship, affiliation, or origin.
- Is illegal, defamatory, deceptive, abusive, exploitative, hateful, sexually exploitative, or otherwise harmful.
- Contains passwords, Apple credentials, payment-card details, sensitive personal data, or confidential information you cannot disclose.
- Attempts to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape, resell, or bypass CoverForge or its providers.
4. Output rights and commercial use
Subject to these Terms, applicable law, provider restrictions, and third-party rights, you may use exported CoverForge output for personal or commercial book-cover purposes. To the extent CoverForge holds transferable rights in an output, CoverForge assigns those rights to you to the extent permitted by law.
This permission is not copyright or trademark clearance and is not a promise that output is exclusive, original, registrable, or non-infringing. You must check third-party rights before publishing, selling, advertising, or distributing the cover.
5. AI-output and copyright limitations
AI systems are probabilistic. Output may be inaccurate, unexpected, non-unique, or similar to material generated for another user. Image text may be misspelled or visually incorrect. CoverForge does not guarantee KDP or other platform acceptance, sales performance, or an error-free result.
Copyright protection for AI-assisted output varies by jurisdiction and may be limited or unavailable when output lacks sufficient human authorship. If copyright protection matters, consider documenting and adding meaningful human creative contribution and consult a qualified legal professional.
6. Your publishing review
Before using a cover, review title and author spelling, imagery, trademarks, likenesses, metadata, genre signals, age appropriateness, platform specifications, and all legal or commercial requirements. CoverForge does not provide legal or rights-clearance advice.
7. Purchases, subscriptions, credits, and refunds
- Subscriptions and credit packs are sold only through Apple's App Store using StoreKit.
- Auto-renewing subscriptions continue until cancelled through your Apple account and remain usable through the paid period, subject to Apple's terms.
- Subscription credits are used before permanent credits. Permanent credits do not expire while the service remains available. CoverForge maintains their balance in a pseudonymous server-side economic ledger.
- One eligible paid generation includes clean HD export. Exporting the same completed cover again does not consume another credit.
- A failed generation does not consume a credit. A free preview may be watermarked and may not include HD export.
- Refunded, reversed, or revoked purchases may remove the related unused entitlement or balance.
- Delete CoverForge Data removes local projects and server-side creative data, but minimum pseudonymous purchase, balance, credit-grant, refund, subscription-boundary, and trial-eligibility records remain for purchase delivery, recovery, legal obligations, security, and fraud prevention.
- Apple controls billing, cancellation, and App Store refunds. Delete CoverForge Data does not cancel an App Store subscription.
8. Availability and service changes
We may update models, providers, features, prices, limits, or capacity. The service may be delayed, interrupted, or unavailable. Legally required purchase notices will be presented through Apple or before taking effect.
9. Suspension and termination
We may restrict access when reasonably necessary for fraud, security, legal requirements, provider restrictions, reversed purchases, harm to others, or material violations. You may stop using the service or use Delete CoverForge Data in Settings.
10. Rights complaints and problematic output
If output infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, likeness, or another right, follow the Rights complaints instructions on the Support page. For unsafe output, use Report Issue in the app or contact support. We may investigate, restrict access, preserve legally required information, or terminate abuse.
11. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COVERFORGE AND ITS OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. Mandatory warranties and consumer rights are not excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COVERFORGE'S DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR LOST-PROFIT DAMAGES. TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR COVERFORGE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. These limits do not apply where prohibited.
13. Apple terms
The Apple Standard EULA applies to your license to the iOS app unless a valid custom EULA is presented by Apple. These Terms additionally govern the account, generation service, credits, and output.
14. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the service or law changes. We will post a new effective date and give additional notice when required. For questions, email wuyuxai@gmail.com.
